CEELDD is the Council of Elders for Ethical Leadership, Democracy and Development. We advance principled public leadership, constitutional governance, civic responsibility, accountability and peaceful democratic participation.
Who we are
A council committed to public ethics and democratic renewal
CEELDD brings together an ethical leadership perspective centred on the Constitution, the dignity of every person, responsible institutions and the long-term development interests of Zambia.
We believe that durable national progress rests on institutions that are accountable, law-governed and responsive to citizens. CEELDD supports constructive engagement, civic responsibility and peaceful approaches to public challenges.
Our work is guided by respect for constitutional processes, institutional independence, inclusive participation, integrity in public life and equitable development across Zambia.
